Using hurdle movements to create better agility movement patterns in athletes for sports








Agile movement in sports; the trick is to find ways to train agility in ways that are applicable to sports performance for maximum benefit.

In the videos above we combined lateral weave/shuffle with side step.  As you perform the drill, keep these tips in mind:
  • Keep you body square from the shoulders down, but your head can be on a swivel.
  • Stay on your "power pads" (balls of your feet)
  • Keep your body moving from one direction to the next, so it looks like one continuous drill 
  • Move arms at least a little, and avoid having a "stiff" upper body (try to maintain some lean)
