After graduating from Ohio State University, volleyball player Heather Walsh gravitated toward CrossFit. In 2011, she competed in the CrossFit Games on a team that placed 17th overall. In 2012, she represented the Central East region at the CrossFit Games and finished 22nd overall.
After sitting out last year's competition due to an injury, Welsh has her sights set on getting back to the Games and standing on the podium as the top female CrossFit athlete. STACK spent a day with Welsh to witness how she balances being a mother, teaching second graders and training at an elite level.
