Athletes: Agility Ladder Drill Workout for Lateral movement training

  

Athletes who can move can have an obvious competitive advantage over those who can't.  Athletes and coaches always think of the best athletic movement as being able to move forward with speed and agility.  However, one trait that I have always found valuable is lateral movement.  

And one of the best ways I've found to train this trait is with the agility ladders.  Training laterally with the agility ladder helps train arm action, foot action and balance while moving sideways.  

A very applicable skill when it comes to many sports such as football, soccer and volleyball that requires quick lateral movement.
